Happy Independence Day Weekend!

For the 4th of July weekend Brandon's parents came to visit.  We went fourwheeling in absolutely beautiful country.  We even saw a moose and its baby!

We also went to the 4th of July parade in Rexburg.  They had some cool stuff and lots of advertisements but it was lots of fun :)

The Snow in Rexburg

So here in Rexburg there is a lot of snow..... As in there are snow piles that are taller than me.  Along with all of this snow our roof is metal... and slanted.  So when the temperature rises above freezing the snow on the roof starts to melt and then it starts to slide off or it creates death-cicles, icicles that melt and then freeze and then melt and then freeze again at a different angle and then they finally break off or fall off potentially killing any poor soul who is underneath one.  Here are some pictures of our snow.

Our Porch... We keep trying to shovel it but it's basically pure ice.

Oh yeah did I mention that they don't plow the roads?  So under all the snow is a good two inches of ice... it's hard to get up the hill sometimes.

Cuttin' Loose

So.... A couple weekends ago Brandon's parents and sister Nicole came to visit us in Rexburg! It was tons of fun.  We went to Fong's (an awesome Chinese Restaurant here), Porter's ( a craft store), Yogi Bear in 3D and........... Lynette (Brandon's Mom) taught me how to cut Brandon's hair... it was a terrifying experience for both Brandon and I, however I'm pretty sure everyone else thought it was really funny.

We got engaged!!!

So I came home from Iowa and skip ahead a couple of months and......... Brandon and I got engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the story. So.... We went and watched the sunset and then got ice cream and then he took me out to West Corrine, (farm country) where my younger brother was.  They sent me to go look at a puppy while they 'discussed things' then they sent me to look for a duck. Well Brandon and I were standing under this tree looking for a duck when he knelt down and proposed.  When I said yes, Jason and his friends set off fireworks, it was really cool. And my ring is GORGEOUS!!!! So here are some of our engagement pictures :)

One time I went to Iowa

So on with the catching up.  My next adventure was........ going to IOWA! I auditioned for a show called "Come Home to Kanesville" in December, (before my Dad got sick, before I met Brandon).  I made it in as a dancer which I was super excited about.  I was extremely excited to go to Iowa and then in May my life got turned upside down.  My Dad got sick and I started dating Brandon.  I was extremely torn. To go or not to go, that really was the question.  I knew that I would probably regret not going if I didn't, but I didn't want to leave Brandon for a month and I wasn't sure what was going to happen with my Dad. So I prayed and cried and talked to my Mom and my friends and my boyfriend.  I had so many mixed messages I didn't know what to do.  Finally Brandon told me to go.  I knew he didn't really want me to, but he knew that deep down I really did want to. So I went.  July 4 I hopped on a plane and flew to Iowa.

It was an adventure, but so much fun.  I ended up dancing for 8-10 hours, six days a week, I LOVED it! Well until my knee started to hurt again, but that's okay it was worth it.  We had lots of crazy adventures and I met a lot of wonderful people.  I was there until August 2, when I got on a plane and flew home.
So here are some pictures of that adventure.
We lived in these.
